Welcome Baby Jaeson!

While the big baby boom at church is over, there are a few of us stragglers... Melanie gave birth to a boy a couple weeks ago. Jaeson and our son will only be a couple months apart, so that will be fun!
Here's her gift from me:

First, a Special Delivery onesie. I'm particularly proud of this one. Jaeson has two middle names, but I was able to get his full name stitched on here, and it's quite readable -- you'll have to take my word for it. ;)

For the first burp cloth I chose Five Star Font's Baseball Monogram. I decided to go with "All-American" colors, and I love this ribbon/thread combination.

The second burp cloth is another stacked monogram. The "J" is from Embroidery Boutique's Fun Applique Monogram. His name is stitched with the Jason font from 8 Claws and a Paw.

The other thing I included was a pair of pacifier clips. From what I understand they are a "house divided" so there is a garnet/gold one for when Jaeson is dressed in Seminole wear, and an orange/blue one when he's dressed in Gator wear.

Welcome Baby Kyleigh!

Tammy's granddaughter arrived safely earlier this month. I had done some stitching for Kyleigh in the past... First the ribbon blanket and then a couple burp cloths that Michelle ordered for both mom and "Grams". Now that we know all her stats, Tammy requested a Special Delivery Onesie.

Tammy also requested a key chain and a couple pacifier clips for Kyleigh and her mom. I used Embird Alphabet #33 for the key chain and #8 for the pacifier clips.

Another Baby Gift Set

Melissa requested a set of items to give as a baby gift for Piper:

The burp cloth design is Five Star Font's Whimsy Dot.

The onesie is a design I've wanted to stitch for quite a while. I was inspired by a post on Sew Forum that had used this monogram font on the floral onesie (of which I have several). I think it's a perfect fit! It's hard to tell from this picture, but there are green leaves among the flowers in the print. The Flower Power monogram was a freebie on SF (now available at Julia's Needle Designs). I added the name with the Rhumba font available at Sew Crazie Designs.

Piper's daddy is a baseball fan, so for the bib I used the applique from a baseball sucker holder design from Embroidery Garden (a freebie on her yahoo group) and I added the text with Embird Alphabet #8. No specific team affiliation given, so I just picked a cute yellow and blue.

Baby Gift Set

Only one post in June... wow. At least there were several orders within that post! In general I have been feeling better, but stress has increased here in the Trammel household, which has made my morning sickness kick back in. Oh, and I have been working on a quilt that I plan to have completed in a week. I haven't been posting about my progress on that, I'll just do one post at the end.
In addition to that quilt, I have five other embroidery orders to complete by mid-July. This weekend so far I've tackled two of them. First up, a baby set that Chris and Eureka ordered for Ava. Ava's room is decorated in yellow and green, so they told me to go with that color scheme:

I monogrammed the first burp cloth with Five Star Font's Whismy Dots.

I monogrammed the second burp cloth with Lynnie Pinnie's Preppy Plaid Font.

And for the bib, I monogrammed it with the Rhumba monogram set available on Judie's yahoo group Sew Crazie Designs.

Gift Set for Lydia's twins

Two weeks ago Lydia gave birth to her twin boys, thus concluding the current baby boom at our church. They had the names picked out in advance, but she asked me not to stitch anything until after they were born, just in case there was a last minute change. I haven't met the boys yet, but I did get to see Lydia this morning. Here is her complete gift:

Lydia has decorated their room with a variety of blues and greens, so I decided to stick with that color theme, assigning each boy a color. Eliot has primarily green items, and Chet has primarily blue.
First I stitched their Special Delivery onesies (design from Sew Terific):

Next are their burp cloths. The monograms are from the Dot Alphabet I originally got on Sew Forum (now available at Julia's Needle Designs), and the names were added with Five Star Font's Whimsy Alphabet. I have used this monogram set for all eight of the new babies at church!

Finally, I don't do it often, but I attempted to be a little witty with their initials on these designs for the bibs. I used Embird Alphabet #8.

Baby Gift Set for Twins

Kristen ordered this cute set for a friend that recently had boy/girl twins.

The monograms are from the Dot Alphabet I originally got on Sew Forum (now available at Julia's Needle Designs), and the names were added with Five Star Font's Whimsy Alphabet.

Remainder of Sara's Gift

As mentioned before, as of the date of Sara's baby shower they hadn't picked a name for their sweet girl, so I made a ribbon blankie and gave her a certificate for the rest. She hasn't delivered yet, but they have settled on a name, so I was able to finish her gift today.

The first burp cloth uses the dot monogram from Sew Forum. I added her name with Embird Alphabet #38. Since Sara is decorating her nursery with black/white toile and pink accents, I chose this color scheme.

Kime requested a "Daddy's Little Girl" burp cloth, so I used Alphabet #38 again for the text, and added paisley designs to go with the ribbon.

Barbara's Order

Barbara's co-worker has two bundles of joy joining her family soon as each of her daughters is having a baby girl! To honor this Barbara ordered baby gift sets.

The pink & green burp cloths are from a new monogram set I recently got. Whimsy Dot was digitized by Anita of Five Star Fonts. This is the first time I have stitched out a monogram from this set, and it is PRECIOUS! It may become my new standard...

The pink & purple burp cloths are from the Rhumba monogram set available on Judie's yahoo group Sew Crazie Designs.

One of these babies is making Emma (3.5 yrs old) a big sister, so Barbara also ordered this shirt for her. The text came from a free design posted on Sew Forum (no longer available), and the face is a combination of parts from a design set from Embroidery Library.

(oh, and there's nothing fancy to make those teeth shiny... just a bit of water-soluble stabilizer that is reflecting light. It will disappear upon the first washing.)

Baby Girl Gift Set

Sabrina ordered this sweet gift set for her cousin:

The monogram is "Rhumba", digitized by Judie of Sew Crazie Designs
and available on her yahoo group.

I had a bib the same color as the purple ribbon, so I reversed the thread colors for the bib:

I was even able to resize the name small enough to put on the pacifier clips!

Gift Set for Twin Boys

Last night I finished up this gift set Anna ordered. A friend of hers had twin boys last week. Each boy will get a personalized bib, burp cloth and pacifier clip:

Anna left all the designing up to me, so my inspiration for color choice came from the coordinating ribbon I had:

I also had blue and yellow bibs, so I knew this was the route to go! The names were added with Embird Alphabet #8. The big monograms are from the Tinker Toy font that were originally posted on SewForum, now available on sewcrazie's yahoo group. Grant gets blue with yellow and green accents, Luke gets yellow with blue and green accents.

(The stitching really is yellow and green, just a bad picture. Noticed too late, the package is in the mail!)

Sabrina's baby gift order

Sabrina's best friend is having a baby, so she requested a yellow/pink set including a bib and two pacifier clips. "BB" is Sabrina's nickname for the baby, so that makes it extra personalized! :)

I recently got a couple more font options, so Sabrina is one of the first to pick Embird Alphabet #8. I love this font! I used it on one other order last week, and plan to use it again today!

Kenia's Baby Shower Gift

Today was baby shower #5 at church! Kenia is expecting a baby girl. Big sister Roberta likes purple, so Kenia suggested focusing on pink for baby Alina. I took a blanket buddy, 2 burp cloths and a pacifier clip as my gift.

Baby Alina is the recipient of my first Blanket Buddy. The design came from Sewing For Sarah. I first took a 40" square of flannel and hemmed it using my rolled hem foot (that's one of the coolest feet ever!). Then I stitched out the design following her directions. It worked perfectly!

When I made Alina's pacifier clip, I stitched an extra piece of ribbon so I could personalize the Blanket Buddy, too.

Next up is what has become my signature gift, a monogrammed burp cloth using the Dot Alphabet and Acadian fonts, both free designs on Sew Forum. I had fun trying to match threads to the cute polka dot ribbon.

For the other burp cloth I modified a design from Perfect Little Stitches. It only had the circle design of boys and girls holding hands; I added the text with Embird Alphabet #22. In case you can't read it, the inside circle says, "Jesus Loves the Little Children" and the outside continues the lyrics, "All the Children of the World, Red & Yellow, Black & White, they are Precious in His Sight!" I was pleased with how this turned out, especially stitching the children with variegated thread.
