I have been a busy girl in the embroidery world, but I'm having a hard time finding time for my blog!
I made these cute burp cloths a while back... I couldn't post pics immediately because they were gifts, and by the time it was safe, well... I just forgot! But I love each of them!
My favorite customer picks such cute designs for me to use on her orders :)
Joshua got Itch 2 Stitch's Sea Turtle Box, and I added his name with I2S's Jack and Jill.
Miller got Savvy Stitches Elephant holding balloon design, and I added the name with I2S's Razzle
and Asara got Embroidery Boutique's Tuscan alpha, and I added her name with 8CP's Southern Belle.

Mr. & Mrs. Garden Flag
Attending a bridal shower today gave me the opportunity to use a new design in my stash!
The Split Ampersand design is from Savvy Stitches. The font used for "MR." and "MRS." is the Librarian ttf, so I asked my MIL to do "EST. 2013" for me in that font. I added their last name "Medley" with 8CP's Yorn.
I debated for a while which fabric to pick. My friend had posted a single picture of the front of the house they just bought. I don't know if they will do any exterior painting or if they will redo the landscaping... But I figured the red brick pillars will stay put! :) I love how this turned out with the red brick fabric!

Riley is Two!
Even though I've done quite a bit of stitching for little Riley, it's hard to believe she is already two!
When Michelle asked me to make her birthday shirt, she specifically requested the Split Numbers from Savvy Stitches Applique. I used 8CP's Mandi to add her name.

Split Font Applique!
In December I shared my first project with Savvy Stitches' Split monogram, and now I can finally share pictures of my first project with SSA's Split Monogram Applique!
Since the burp cloth was for a girl but we were avoiding traditional pinks, I wanted to be sure to pick a feminine font for the name. I love the capital L in 8CP's Candi font!
I really like how it turned out. I can't wait to experiment more with fabrics and fonts...

Split Monogram... the first of many :)
I purchased a new design set over the weekend, one I have been eying for a bit, but had to get through some holiday related projects before jumping on the split monogram bandwagon! When it went on sale, I was so excited to grab it and put it to use right away... after all, I couldn't arrive to Christmas Eve dinner empty handed, right?
The Split Alphabet set is from Savvy Stitches Applique, and I used 8CP's Kelsi to add "James". I don't know if this font would work for every names since it is a mixed case font, but I was able to remove the dot on top of the J and use the caps version of all the other letters for this particular name and really liked it!
Savvy Stitches also released an Applique version of the Split Alphabet. I grabbed that, too, and I'm anxious to play with fabrics and fonts. I just got a package of 10 kitchen towels in the mail today, and cannot wait to monogram some stuff for MY kitchen. :)
