Baby girl gift set

Martha asked me to make a little gift set for a family near and dear to her heart. She requested a burp cloth, monogrammed blanket and bloomers. No specific theme, so I got to do my own thing. I decided to take the opportunity to test this new Princess Carriage design from Lynnie Pinnie. Didn't it turn out pretty? I used 8CP's Going to Disney font to add her name. (And for the record, this is a larger/more involved design than I usually put on burp cloths, like I said, I was killing two birds with one stone, Everly lucked out. :) )
Martha supplied the blanket and bloomers, I added the monogram. I used 8CP's Sweet Tarts, I LOVE this font! Isn't it lovely? And Everly Rose is such a pretty name.

Monogrammed baby girl items

(I'm terrible with blog post titles. I'm sure I've used this one twenty times...)
A friend of mine has a brand new granddaughter and asked me to make a few items.
Ann purchased a few items at a store and wanted to carry the sweet frog theme into the burp cloth and a pair of bloomers. I used the items to inspire the color scheme:
Out of all my frog appliques, she picked this cute one! The frog applique is from 8 Claws and a Paw, as well as the font Alex.
(For some reason when I created the design I thought her name was Ella. I'm so glad I send image proofs of designs before stitching! Ann set me straight. And side note, Emma is a much wider name than Ella, especially in this font! Ha!)
For the other pair of bloomers she wanted an elegant circular three-letter monogram; Fancy Circle monogram from the Itch 2 Stitch was perfect!

Welcoming Baby Grayson

Another baby shower at church means more fun stitching!!! Again, thanks to great friends who shop with me I got to create several fun things to coordinate with baby Grayson's bedding set.
First, Cherri and Elaine gave a name banner (using the Frayed Block Letters from Hang To Dry):
I picked the fabrics to coordinate with the Hayley Nursery Bedding that Maggie registered for at Pottery Barn Kids:
I love the color palette! I spent a lot of time zooming in on these fabrics and then going through my stash to find as close as a match as possible. I knew I had a sage green with dots, a sage gingham, yellow with dots, and blue floral. I used the brown pin dot to tie the letters together since it's used throughout the bedding as the piping. The only fabric I bought for the project was this pink (because it was so pretty!)
Michelle requested an owl burp cloth inspired by the owl on the pillow sham:
After looking at all the owls on my pinterest board we settled on this owl from Applique Market and used the blue/purple fabrics from the banner. I used Miss Kitty from 8 Claws and a Paw to add her name.
For my gift I wanted to use a little bird that coordinated as much as possible. I love this birdie from GG Designs, and I'm so glad I finally had an excuse to get it! :)
I wanted to match the green/pink bird pictured above, but I was limited by my ribbon stash, so I went with the lighter pink fabric from the banner instead of hot pink. I used Tilly from 8 Claws and a Paw to add "Graysie" which will be her nickname.
For the bib I decided to reverse the fabrics, just to be different. :)
And finally, grandmother-to-be Martha bought these sweet, TINY bloomers for me to monogram. I used Embird Alphabet #38:

Monogrammed Bloomers

I recently monogrammed a couple pair of bloomers. They are so sweet, it's just not something I do often... not sure why! Mem supplied these and picked two different monograms. This one is the Empire font from Embroidery Arts:
And this one is KK Mongram from 8 Claws and a Paw:
Before stitching these I did a quick Google image search on monogrammed bloomers to get an idea for design placement (I didn't want to stitch the monogram too low or too high). Here's the ironic thing... one particular image jumped out at me as being really pretty, and when I looked closer, it was my picture! HA! At that point I decided I should just do my own thing and not worry so much. :)  Even though it happens all the time, it is still weird to see my own project images pop up on Google searches. And I love finding stuff from my blog being pinned on Pinterest. I find so much inspiration online, and it's an honor to know that I can sometimes return the favor.

Monogrammed Bloomers

Lil' Miss Audrey received some sweet bloomers from her grandma Elaine, and they just needed this monogram added! We used the same three-letter monogram as on her A-line dress, Empire font from Embroidery Arts.
